Perhaps there are certain ways of doing things that make blogs more user friendly?

Formating links (adding labels, target windows)
Including images
Including video

  1. Tagging your photos with key words will mean more readers, who will discover your blog by searching for images

Make sure your links are easily distinguishable

  2. WordPress can be annoying and some knowledge of HTML is helpful –

  3. Monitor who is reading your blog via Google Analytics or the My Blog Log Plug in:

There is also a new tool on Technorati – the ping – that is very useful. The further down the Technorati rankings, the less often your blog gets trawled.

To quote from the page: “Updated your site recently? Let us know! Just enter the URL of your blog home page below to get into the Technorati high-priority indexing queue.”

    The ping page is http://technorati.com/ping

  4. If you’ve registered on the Technorati site, your claimed blog(s) will appear on the right-hand side of the page when you log in. Next to the blog name, there’s a ping link button too!
