Why do you blog?

04Dec06

Why do you blog/want to blog?

Which blogs do you read and why?

What makes you return/link to them?

What can blogs be used for?
(community engagement, e-procurement, marketing, sharing research, special interest, personal therapy)

  1. Workshop participants are blogging for a variety of reasons –
To find a way to do good stuff
    As an outlet for ego
    To share news
    To share work in progress
To explore a new role in a networked society

  2. How people read blogs is as interesting as how to write:
If you comment on a blog, add it to your RSS feed – then you can keep an eye on if anyone has commented back, starting something more like a real-time conversation.
Watch for patterns in the blogs you read and in your RSS feeds – shirt to connections in themes rather than content.
